02 / WEAPON UPGRADES UNOFFICIAL GUIDE

Buy for the fight ahead.

For a shotgun-focused run, plan around the 360-coin Dragon Breath Rounds once available. For early pistol capacity, the Extended Magazine is 180 coins. Keep free attachments in mind before paying for a competing slot.

BUYING PRIORITIES

Pick a purpose before a purchase.

01

Fire pressure: save for Dragon Breath

GamingAlly recommends the shotgun’s fire rounds, priced at 360 coins. PowerPyx places them after the Statue’s Head milestone. Our practical recommendation: if you want this option, keep those coins back instead of filling every affordable slot first.

02

Capacity: choose the weapon you actually use

The pistol magazine costs 180; the shotgun tube costs 200. Both address capacity. Buying both is 380 coins, but a purchase is wasted budget if you rarely use that weapon. Treat capacity as a preference, not a demonstrated damage increase.

03

Later rifle use: consider AP Rounds

The 180-coin AP option is intended for penetration. Buy it when your route and rifle use justify it. It is not a substitute for the earlier shotgun plan because it becomes relevant at a later stage.

Price and attachment effects are reported in GamingAlly’s illustrated upgrade guide (external site, opens in a new tab); progression milestones and the 250-coin SMG magazine are recorded in PowerPyx’s completion route (external site, opens in a new tab). Exact shop timing is route-source evidence, not our own testing.

How we recommend: match the weapon you use, confirm availability, check for a free alternative, then compare total cost. These are editorial spending priorities—not a tested DPS ranking or a claim that one loadout wins every encounter.

A budget example, not a mandatory build

At the Statue’s Head milestone, 560 coins cover Dragon Breath Rounds (360) and the Extended Mag Tube (200). That leaves nothing in reserve. With 100 coins set aside, you can take the fire rounds now and delay the tube: 560 − 100 − 360 = 100 spendable coins left.
